BREAKFAST

This is the way to start the day at the Rifugio Lanzagallo:

rich, genuine, sweet and salty, original, cured. The homemade buffet: steaming cakes, biscuits, yogurt, fruit salad, jams, omelettes.

At the table fresh cheeses, milk, juices and muesli. Difficult to leave the table!

.

An outdoor kitchen

There are many spaces where you can fully exploit the privacy of the site and relax like in a small ancient village, in addition to the beautiful salt-filtered swimming pool.

An outdoor kitchen equipped for our guests, a lounge area and sofas where they can prepare a simple dinner and eat in the evening and enjoy our fantastic atmosphere under the pergola or under our carob tree.

Yoga, outdoor cinema, walks in the Lanzagallo quarry

We love nature, art, architecture, photography, literature, music, and good food!

Some specific places of Rifugio Lanzagallo, such as the Aia or the ancient sheepfold surrounded by high dry stone walls, are suitable

to be fully experienced for different activities.

In the evening in the courtyard"the Werewolf"we like to immerse you in a timeless atmosphere, with a screening of films about Sicily, from the 40s/50s at the time of Italian neorealism, when in the cinematographic image there was a masterpiece of black and white photography.

  • YOGA - SHIATSU

  • CINEMA "SICILY"

  • READINGS OF SICILIAN POEMS AND WRITINGS

  • PHOTOGRAPHY and THEMED DEBATES

  • COOKING CLASS

  • SAPONIFICATION WORKSHOPS

During the day yoga, massage, shiatsu, swimming pool or a walk

in the Lanzagallo quarry.

Behind the property there is a path in the Lanzagallo quarry, a canyon where the Salvia river flowed, which is part of an important and extraordinary landscape and archaeological system.

Prehistoric populations once lived in Cava d'Ispica, enjoying great natural resources as well as protection due to the defensive capacity of the gorges, but very close to the sea.

SICILIAN SPECIALTIES DINNER ON REQUEST

Sicilian cuisine is found in the right place, the center of the Mediterranean, where an extraordinary climate grows vegetables tastiest in the world, olive trees produce the most fragrant oils, grapes produce precious wines and aromatic herbs they have the most intense fragrances. And it is also a place where people have remained linked to the flavors of the sea and the land. Where those betrayals of food style that are now common in many other parts of Italy have not taken place.

In Sicily the memory of old mothers in the kitchen is still alive and we are lucky enough to have a neighbour, like our beloved Mrs Catena, who, beyond ricotta and cheeses, will let us discover her delicacies!

To be booked in advance.
